When Onegin arrives at her family’s country estate, bookish teenager Tatyana is impressed by his air of sophistication. Impulsively, she pours her heart out to him in a letter, triggering a life-changing series of events. Years later, they meet again in St Petersburg, and are confronted with a devastating moment of truth. In a timeless story of innocence and experience, Tchaikovsky’s haunting score captures every shade of emotion.
