This summer, we’re making your Opera Holland Park picnic experience even more effortless. If you’ve booked a picnic table, alongside delicious pre-prepared hampers by local Italian restaurant Il Portico, you can now enjoy refillable glass pitchers of Laylo’s award-winning wine, without the need to lug bottles, bring glasses, or worry about keeping your wine chilled.
Your selected wine will be ready and waiting for you when you arrive, elegantly served in stylish glass pitchers. Whites and rosés will be perfectly chilled, while reds are tempered for ideal enjoyment. Each pitcher holds 500ml and comes with a snap-on lid to keep things fresh, along with a handwritten label featuring your name so our team can track your refills with ease. Glasses will be provided for your entire group, making the experience seamless from start to finish.
Throughout the evening, you can return to a dedicated station to refill your pitcher, and you’re welcome to change your wine selection between refills – mix and match as you please. The wines are sourced from Laylo’s award-winning boxed collection, chosen in partnership with a world-class Master of Wine. You’ll be able to choose between;
Crisp and citrusy Sauvignon Blanc (2023)
Super-pale and dry Luberon Rosé (2024)
Smooth Merlot (2023) with notes of cherry, coffee, raspberry and blueberry.
In keeping with Opera Holland Park’s commitment to sustainability, Laylo’s wines come in boxes that generate 90% less CO₂ than traditional glass bottles. Our pitchers are washed and reused after each performance, but if you’d like to take one home, you can for just £10.
Refillable pitchers are available exclusively to those who have pre-booked a picnic table, and can be pre-ordered in advance or purchased on the night. Pricing is as follows:
Table for 2: £15 – includes 1 pitcher and 1 refill
Table for 4: £24 – includes 1 pitcher and 2 refills
Table for 6: £30 – includes 2 pitchers and 2 refills
Larger groups: Combine packages as needed. For example, a table of 8 might choose two pitchers and three refills for £39.
