Opera Holland Park regrets to announce that the scheduled performances of The Bamboo Princess on 2 and 4 July 2026 have been cancelled.
The visiting company has said that, due to ongoing instability in the Middle East and its resulting logistical and financial impact on international travel and freight, they are unable to bring the production to the UK as planned.
Cancellations of this kind are highly unusual for Opera Holland Park. However, the final delivery of these performances was beyond our control and, while our sympathies are with our artistic colleagues in Japan, we are deeply disappointed not to be presenting this production.
All ticket holders have been contacted directly by the Opera Holland Park directly and offered the option to exchange their tickets for another performance in the 2026 season or to receive a full refund.
