Victoria Simmonds sings ‘Mary’s Lullaby’ by Max Reger
20 Dec 2021‘Mary’s Lullaby’, or ‘Mariä Wiegenlied’, was one of sixty songs composed by Max Reger between 1903 and 1912 and published in the collection, Schlichte Weisen. Subtly scored and delicately perfumed, it remains his most famous ‘little song’ and is sung here by Victoria Simmons with Stuart Wild at the piano.

17 Dec 2021With a melody drawn from an Appalachian folksong, and lyrics by the American folklorist John Jacob Niles, ‘I wonder as I wander’ has been arranged by composers from Luciano Berio to John Rutter. Former OHP Young Artist Elizabeth Karani sings Benjamin Britten’s haunting arrangement, accompanied by Stuart Wild.
Julien Van Mellaerts sings Walt Kent and Kim Gannon’s ‘I’ll be Home for Christmas’

Julian Van Mellaerts, Count Almaviva in our 2021 production of The Marriage of Figaro and co-director of Opera in Song, sings this classic ballad with Stuart Wild at the piano.
