In a typical season the Opera Holland Park Chorus are involved in up to four productions across a ten week period. Outside of the annual summer season, the chorus has performed in Christmas concerts, galas, and, in February 2024, a performance of Puccini’s Messa di Gloria to launch the company’s commemoration of the one hundredth anniversary of the composer’s death.

The chorus has also collaborated in two major productions of Stravinsky’s choral ballet, Les Noces, with English National Ballet at Sadler’s Wells in 2023, and with New Movement Collective at Woolwich Works in 2024, where they were praised for the impact of their singing. These collaborations followed their success in The Rake’s Progress at Aldeburgh under the Canadian conductor and singer, Barbara Hannigan, in 2019, when Opera Today highlighted the “meticulously prepared chorus, who excelled as whores and roaring boys, auction bidders and madmen” in their review.

Every year we hold auditions for the Opera Holland Park Chorus during the autumn. We are no longer accepting applications for our 2025 Season. Follow @operahollandpark for regular updates and information.

As for this year’s Opera Holland Park Chorus, it’s a vintage selection that overflows with choral sparkle and full-bodied luxury. Pour a glass and savour.
