The Royal Ballet School returns to Opera Holland Park with a rich, diverse programme of dance across five performances in July.
The performances showcase the exceptional young dancers across all years of the School, in a celebration of their extraordinary talent and achievements. This is a wonderful and rare opportunity to see the ballet stars of the future and the remarkable skills they are honing as they train at one of the world’s leading ballet schools.
Artistic Director Christopher Powney has curated an exciting and varied programme incorporating classical, contemporary and character elements. The programme will feature Raymonda by Marius Petipa, PreSENTIENT by Wayne McGregor, Yondering by John Neumeier and Swan Lake by Marius Petipa & Lev Ivanov with additional choreography by Frederick Ashton. The School is also delighted to bring new works by Mikaela Polley, Joseph Toonga and Jason Mabana, created on Royal Ballet School students especially for these performances.
The Royal Ballet School summer performances are sponsored by the School’s corporate partner, Imagination.
