Featuring all years of the School, with dancers ranging in age from 11 to 19, this is a wonderful and rare opportunity to glimpse the rising ballet stars of the future and the remarkable skills and artistry they are honing as they train at one of the world’s leading ballet schools.

Artistic Director Christopher Powney has curated a rich selection of works to showcase these exceptional young dancers’ prowess, versatility and imagination. The programme will include the Dream Scene from Carlos Acosta’s vibrant Don Quixote for The Royal Ballet; Konservatoriet, Bournonville’s vaudeville work for the Royal Danish Ballet set in a dance studio; Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s inventive The Four Seasons set to three Verdi operas; and in a first for the School, excerpts from acclaimed alumnus Christopher Wheeldon’s glowing contemporary masterpiece, Within the Golden Hour. The School will also present a new classical work by Mikaela Polley created on the students especially for these performances; and Bold, a contemporary work by Goyo Montero created with students from 24 ballet schools around the world at this year’s Prix de Lausanne to celebrate 50 years of the iconic competition.
