Join the Opera Holland Park Inspire team for a fun and creative family workshop aimed at ages 0-5 and children with SEN. This interactive workshop will take you through the events leading up to the masked ball from Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera.
You will need some cuddly toys, some clothes to dress up in, and a sense of adventure.
This event will be held online through a Zoom Video Conference. The event is free but you must register your place in advance. Online booking has now closed but if you would like to take part in this session, just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
After you have registered, look out for an email from Opera Holland Park which will include instructions of how to join the workshop. If you have not received the email one day before the event begins, please contact email@example.com.
This session is part of the Virtual Open Day on Saturday 23 May. Click here to see the full schedule of activities on offer.
Created in 2010, Inspire is Opera Holland Park’s award-winning outreach and education programme. Led by Abigail Sudbury, the Inspire team works with schools and charities to reach as wide a range of people as possible in projects from one-to-one sessions with care home residents to group activities and family workshops, and has been able to move many of its activities online during the health crisis. Earlier this year, the team took a reduced and relaxed version of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta, The Pirates of Penzance, from London to Cornwall, performing to – and with – old and young audiences along the way.
