‘Mary’s Lullaby’, or ‘Mariä Wiegenlied’, was one of sixty songs composed by Max Reger between 1903 and 1912 and published in the collection, Schlichte Weisen.
Subtly scored and delicately perfumed, it remains his most famous ‘little song’ and is sung here by Victoria Simmons with Stuart Wild at the piano.
