Students aged 11 to 19 will demonstrate the skills and artistry they are honing at one of the world’s leading ballet schools, in a programme of classical and contemporary dance curated by Artistic Director Iain Mackay in his first season.

The School will present the polished classicism of Petipa in the ‘Aurora’s Wedding’ suite from The Sleeping Beauty, re-staged especially for the School by Anthony Dowell in 2018; Frederick Ashton’s charming Les Patineurs; and Morgann Runacre-Temple’s playful, rhythmic Swingle Stepping.

The programme will also include exciting new works by Ruth Brill, Hannah Joseph, Jessica Lang, Arielle Smith, who will work with students on creations especially for these performances. Iva Lešić will also bring a new piece to the stage, following her spirited Royal Remix at last summer’s performances.
