Deceptions and disguises weave through Opera Holland Park’s 2026 Season, marking thirty years since the company’s foundation. In Puccini’s gold rush drama, La fanciulla del West, Minnie falls in love with a stranger, but is he who he says he is? In Mozart’s Neapolitan comedy, Cosi fan tutte, two sisters and their beaux are put to the test by a streetwise maid and a devious misanthrope.

Will Todd and Maggie Gottlieb’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland moves to the main stage of Opera Holland Park in high style, while the company completes its survey of Puccini’s operas in a new concert-staging of the composer’s last work, Turandot.

Launching a ten year partnership with the Yachiyoza Theatre in Kumamoto, Japan, Ruyusuke Numajiri’s The Bamboo Princess receives its UK premiere. A revival of Rodula Gaitanou’s spectacular 2019 staging of Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera and a sparkling new production of Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus (sung in English) complete a programme in which nothing and no-one is quite is they first appear.
