Since 2005, we have offered 1,000 free tickets to performances across our season each year, enabling young people aged 7-18 to get their first taste of opera with us. To apply for free tickets for the 2021 Season, fill in the application form at the link at the bottom of this page.
2021 Season
The majority of Free Tickets for Under 18s will be available for the following performances, although there will also be a limited number available for all other performances:
- The Marriage of Figaro Discovery Matinee and Relaxed Performance: 20 June at 2pm
- La traviata Discovery Matinee and Relaxed Performance: 19 June at 2pm
- The Cunning Little Vixen Discovery Matinee and Relaxed Performance: 25 July at 2pm
- L’amico Fritz Discovery Matinee and Relaxed Performance: 18 July at 2pm

How to apply
Applications for Free tickets for Under 18s opened on Wednesday 21 April at 10am. All tickets for the 2021 Season have now been allocated. If you have been successful, you will have received an email from the Box Office with details.
To be added to the waiting list for any returns, please fill in the form below, indicating your preferred date. We will allocate returned tickets on a first come, first served basis.
Eligibility
Young people aged 7-18 are eligible to apply for free tickets. Children aged 7-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult (over 18 years) whose ticket is also free. A free accompanying adult ticket is only available where there is a young person aged under 16 years applying for tickets. Qualifying individuals may book for up to four tickets: one adult and up to three under 18s in the pink price zone only. Customers are welcome to purchase any additional tickets.
School Groups
For School Groups wishing to buy a number of tickets, we recommend our Schools’ Matinee performances of The Marriage of Figaro on 16 and 22 June at 12pm. Click here to find out more.
