This summer we invited three UK ex-forces personnel suffering from PTSD and mental health issues to see a performance of Iolanta. Our new film, Into The Light, follows their surprising and remarkable journey.
At Opera Holland Park we believe that music and drama have transformative qualities. Having passed through dark times during their lives, Ian, Mac and Tina’s experiences teach us a valuable lesson about facing fears and embracing opportunities.
The film shows that although music cannot heal on its own, it does have a unique power to affect our sense of self and help us set our histories and anxieties into context.
