Our 2021 Young Artists Masterclass is now available to watch on YouTube and Facebook. The Masterclass features the great lyric soprano and OHP Young Artists Isabelle Peters (Barbarina), Alex Jones (Bartolo) and Thomas Ang (répétiteur).
The film is a great opportunity to watch our Young Artists in action, as Amanda helps them explore how to create a compelling character in music by Strauss and Mozart. It also offers a fascinating insight into a process usually conducted behind closed doors. Viewers will be able to witness how opera singers combine vocal technique, musicality, physicality, and imagination into their performances. As Amanda brings empathy, with and a wealth of experience to a rapid learning process, Thomas demonstrates the subtlety and strength required of a répétiteur.
The Masterclass is available to watch online until 31 August 2021.
